Jeff Seymour Says Stewart McLean’s Disappearance Was “Out of Character”

Actor Stewart McLean, known for appearing in Virgin River, Arrow, Supernatural and The 100, was found dead in British Columbia after being reported missing earlier this month. Police are treating the case as a homicide investigation.

McLean was last seen at his home in Lions Bay on May 15 and was reported missing on May 18. Authorities said they were concerned for his well-being before confirming on May 21 that the case involved suspected homicide. His remains were found on May 22.

Friend and acting coach Jeff Seymour said he became worried when McLean missed a scheduled filming day, calling the behavior completely out of character. Seymour described McLean as careful and dependable, and said he could not understand how his friend was killed.

Seymour said the two had recently spent time together in Los Angeles and called McLean’s death “crushing” and a “shocker.” Police have not released details about suspects or a cause of death.
