Sabrina Carpenter Gets Temporary Restraining Order Against Man

Singer Sabrina Carpenter has been granted a temporary restraining order against a man she says repeatedly came to her Los Angeles home without permission.

According to court documents, Carpenter says 31-year-old William Applegate first appeared at her home on May 23. She says he tried to open her front door, rang the doorbell, and refused to leave when confronted by security. Police later arrived and arrested him.

Carpenter says Applegate returned to her home less than 24 hours after the arrest. She claims he came back again the following day, leading to another police response.

In a declaration filed with the court, Carpenter said Applegate is a stranger and that she has never met or communicated with him. She also said she does not want any contact with him.

The court granted a temporary restraining order requiring Applegate to stay away from Carpenter, her sister Sarah, and her sister’s boyfriend George.

A court hearing is scheduled later this month to decide whether the restraining order should be extended.
