Chloe Fineman Reveals Teenage Prank That Got Her Fired

Chloe Fineman surprised her fellow Saturday Night Live cast members with an unusual story from her teenage years during a recent appearance on Vanity Fair’s “Game Show” series.

While playing a trivia-style game alongside Mikey Day, James Austin Johnson, Ashley Padilla, Sarah Sherman, and Jane Wickline, Fineman asked the group to guess why she had once been fired—and later rehired—by a former employer. After several incorrect guesses, she revealed the incident happened when she was 16 and working as a camp counselor.

According to Fineman, the situation began with a young camper, about six years old, who repeatedly lifted her shirt during hugs. Frustrated, she decided to retaliate with a prank. During a hike, she pointed out what she claimed was a hawk to distract the child, then pulled his pants down.

The situation escalated unexpectedly when she realized the child was not wearing underwear. At the same moment, a passing school bus full of children witnessed the incident. Fineman said she was fired immediately afterward.

Her castmates reacted with a mix of shock and humor. Ashley Padilla joked that Fineman might be “on a list somewhere,” while James Austin Johnson commented that her stories about growing up in Berkeley often sound surreal. Mikey Day added that he had not realized she had lived what he called a “life of crime” before joining SNL.

Fineman has also been in the news recently for other reasons. Earlier in 2026, she gained attention online after sharing unedited photos following a cosmetic treatment, encouraging transparency around such procedures. She has also publicly criticized Elon Musk on social media in response to a controversial gesture he made at a recent event.
