Speaking on the April 15, 2026 episode of her podcast Calm Down with Erin and Charissa, Andrews was open about both her determination and the challenges she faces. She acknowledged that the odds of success at her age are low, but said she still feels driven to keep trying.
“There’s just something in me that’s like, ‘Watch me do it,’” Andrews said, describing her mindset as both defiant and hard to explain.
She also shared details about the latest IVF attempt, which included hormone treatments such as HGH, Gonal-f, and Clomid. However, she confirmed that this round was not successful.
Despite the setback, Andrews said she trusts her doctor and feels supported in continuing treatment for now. “I am with a doctor that said, ‘Listen, we’ll call it when it’s time,’” she explained.
Andrews and her husband, former NHL player Jarret Stoll, already have a son, Mack, who was born via surrogate in 2023. She has spoken publicly about her fertility struggles for years, which began after she was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2016.
Her latest comments have drawn support from fans and colleagues. Co-host Charissa Thompson pointed to Andrews’ competitive personality as a key factor in her persistence. Others have praised her for being open about fertility challenges later in life.
Using a sports analogy, Andrews described her current stage in the journey as nearing the end of a game. “I’m really in the fourth quarter… I may be in OT,” she said, acknowledging that time is a factor but making clear she is not ready to stop.
