Recent rumors claiming that Zendaya and Tom Holland secretly married appear to stem from a combination of artificial intelligence-generated images and a coordinated promotional campaign tied to Zendaya’s latest film, The Drama.

The A24 film, released on April 3, 2026, stars Zendaya alongside Robert Pattinson and centers on an engaged couple whose wedding plans unravel due to a hidden secret. As part of the film’s marketing rollout, A24 distributed a staged “wedding announcement,” which many observers now believe was designed to blur the line between fiction and Zendaya’s real-life relationship. The tactic drew criticism from fans and media commentators who described it as intentionally misleading.

Fueling the speculation further, a series of highly realistic AI-generated images circulated online in March, appearing to show Zendaya and Holland participating in a wedding ceremony. Zendaya addressed the images during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, stating clearly that they were fabricated. She noted that even people close to her were initially convinced by the images.

Additional confusion followed comments from Zendaya’s stylist, Law Roach, who joked on a red carpet that the wedding had “already happened.” Although widely interpreted as humor, the remark was picked up and reported more broadly, amplifying the narrative.
