The former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member, 52, was released in December 2025 after serving roughly two years and nine months of a 6.5-year sentence. She is now completing the remainder of her sentence under home confinement.
In the interview, Shah acknowledged her wrongdoing and expressed remorse. “I was wrong. I made wrong decisions,” she said, adding that she should have paid closer attention to the operations tied to her business. She described a turning point before her trial, when reviewing evidence and hearing from victims led her to plead guilty.
Shah admitted that she ignored warning signs and allowed personal relationships to influence her judgment. She said she “disregarded huge red flags” and trusted the wrong individuals during what she described as a vulnerable period in her life.
A central focus of Shah’s post-prison plans is financial restitution. She owes approximately $6.6 million to victims, many of whom were elderly. Shah described repaying that amount as her primary goal and called it her “mission” going forward.
Her personal life has also drawn attention. Separate reports indicate that her marriage to Sharrieff “Coach” Shah was under significant strain before she entered prison, with claims the couple was close to divorce at that time.
Shah was originally sentenced in January 2023 after pleading guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud. She served her sentence at a federal prison camp in Bryan, Texas, before being released early.
While there is speculation about a possible return to reality television, Shah did not confirm any plans related to Bravo. Instead, she emphasized that her current focus is on accountability and making amends.
