Jelly Roll Drops One Tour Date as Rock the Country Adjusts Lineup

The Rock the Country festival, co-founded by Kid Rock, is drawing attention as it moves through its 2026 tour, facing both pricing controversy and lineup changes.

This week, organizers announced a significant reduction in ticket prices for remaining tour dates. Single-day general admission tickets have been lowered to $59, while weekend passes are now priced at $99. The discount is being promoted with the code “FUEL,” which organizers say reflects rising transportation and fuel costs affecting fans.

However, the price cut has triggered backlash from early buyers. Many fans who purchased tickets at higher rates say they were encouraged to buy early to secure the best deal, only to see prices drop substantially later. Some attendees report paying hundreds of dollars more than current prices, leading to frustration across social media.

At the same time, changes to the festival lineup have added to uncertainty around the tour. Jelly Roll, one of the headliners, will no longer perform at the Sioux Falls, South Dakota stop on June 28, citing a scheduling conflict. He remains scheduled for other dates. The band Staind will replace him for that specific show.

The festival has also seen multiple artist departures in recent months. Shinedown withdrew, referencing concerns about political associations tied to the event. Ludacris was removed after his team said his inclusion had been a mistake. Morgan Wade and Carter Faith are no longer on the lineup, and a planned stop in Anderson, South Carolina, has been canceled entirely.

While organizers have framed the ticket price cuts as a response to external costs, industry observers suggest the move may be aimed at boosting ticket sales and stabilizing attendance following the lineup disruptions.
