Denise Richards Returns to The Bold and the Beautiful After Four-Year Hiatus

Denise Richards is returning to The Bold and the Beautiful after a four-year break. The actress, 55, will reprise her role as Shauna Fulton in the CBS soap opera episode airing Thursday, May 28.

Richards told PEOPLE that returning to the show felt natural and described the cast and crew as welcoming and supportive. In the upcoming episode, Shauna reconnects with Bill Spencer and Wyatt Spencer at Spencer Publications and hints at joining their fashion business.

Richards said she was happy to return alongside actor Darin Brooks, who is also back as Wyatt. She described their characters as “light and fun” and said the unpredictable storylines make the experience exciting.

The actress first joined the soap in 2019 and admitted she was initially nervous about the fast-paced production and large amount of dialogue. She credited former co-star Rena Sofer with helping her adjust to the demanding schedule.

Richards also encouraged young actors to work on soap operas, calling them one of the best places to learn because of the quick filming pace and intensive scripts.

The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS.
