Canadian Actor Stewart McLean Found Dead at 45; Police Investigating Homicide

Canadian actor Stewart McLean, known for roles in Virgin River, Arrow, and The Irrational, has been found dead in British Columbia at age 45, one week after he was reported missing.

Police said McLean was last seen at his home in Lions Bay on May 15 and was reported missing on May 18. His remains were later discovered in the Lions Bay area.

Authorities are treating the case as a homicide. Canada’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said investigators found evidence suggesting McLean was the victim of foul play. Detectives are reviewing CCTV footage, conducting interviews, and building a timeline of his activities before his disappearance.

McLean’s talent agency paid tribute to him in a Facebook post, calling him “dedicated, professional, eager, and endlessly funny,” and remembering him as “a truly great guy.”
