Tom Hardy Reportedly Fired From ‘MobLand’ After Behind-the-Scenes Clashes

Tom Hardy has reportedly been fired from Paramount+ crime drama MobLand and will not return for a possible third season, according to Puck.

The actor stars as fixer Harry Da Souza alongside Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren in the Guy Ritchie-produced series. Production on season 2 has already finished.

Reports say Hardy clashed with producers during filming. Puck claims he was often late to set, tried to change dialogue, and was unhappy that the show was becoming more focused on the wider cast. The outlet also says writer Jez Butterworth threatened to leave the series over the tensions, but Hardy was removed instead.

The news follows earlier reports that Mirren had become frustrated with Hardy during production.

Fans reacted strongly online, with many saying Hardy’s performance was the main reason they watched the show and questioning whether the series can continue successfully without him.

Hardy has faced criticism over on-set behavior before. During the filming of Mad Max: Fury Road, co-star Charlize Theron publicly spoke about conflicts caused by his lateness. Hardy later admitted he had struggled under the pressure and said he could have handled the situation better.

Season 2 of MobLand is still expected to premiere later this year.
