Taylor Frankie Paul Speaks Out After Video Leak, Says Daughter Is ‘Reliving’ Trauma

Reality TV personality Taylor Frankie Paul has spoken publicly about the emotional toll on her young daughter after a 2023 video of a domestic dispute with her ex-partner Dakota Mortensen resurfaced online.

In a series of social media posts and TikTok comments, Paul said the “worst part” of the situation is the impact on her daughter, Ever, who is now being exposed again to a painful moment from the past. “She has to relive and see it all over again,” Paul wrote.

The video, first published by TMZ on March 19, 2026, shows a heated altercation between Paul and Mortensen from February 2023. In the footage, Paul is seen throwing metal barstools in Mortensen’s direction while a child can be heard crying in the background. According to reports and court documents, the child—identified as Paul’s daughter—was accidentally struck during the incident, resulting in a minor injury described as a “goose egg.”

Paul said that since the 2023 incident, she has taken steps to move forward, including seeking professional help and making personal efforts to repair the situation. She criticized the timing of the video’s release, calling it a “reprehensible attempt” to shift attention away from her ex-partner’s behavior. She also noted that the footage resurfaced around her son’s birthday, which she said made the situation even more upsetting.

Through her representatives, Paul claimed the video lacks full context and alleged she had been subjected to long-term “mental and physical abuse and threats of retaliation.”

The fallout has been significant. ABC canceled Season 22 of The Bachelorette just three days before its scheduled March 22 premiere—an unusual and dramatic move. Production on Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives has also been paused.

Meanwhile, the situation has escalated into an ongoing legal dispute. Mortensen has reportedly filed for sole custody of their son and requested a protective order, citing concerns about Paul’s behavior and the children’s safety.

Authorities have confirmed the case is still active. The Draper City Police Department said it is investigating new domestic assault allegations from February 2026 involving both parties.
