Steinhauser said she took the exam in February 2026 in Waco, Texas. The test spans two days and totals 12 hours, and is widely considered one of the more difficult professional licensing exams in the United States. Around 1,000 candidates sat for the exam during that session.
This was her second attempt. She previously missed the passing score by two points. In her announcement, she said she felt significantly more prepared this time and performed better than 91% of her peers in her bar preparation course.
Steinhauser earned her Juris Doctor degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in May 2024. She also holds a master’s degree in education and a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
She has stated in the past that her decision to take the bar exam was driven largely by personal motivation, describing it as a challenge rather than a step toward a traditional legal career.
Before entering law, Steinhauser was widely known in the adult entertainment industry as Asia Carrera. She has also been noted for her academic background, including a reported IQ of 156 and membership in Mensa.
Her name now appears on the list of individuals admitted to the State Bar of Texas. It is not yet clear whether she plans to practice law or use her legal credentials in other areas such as advocacy or education.
