‘Hunger Games’ Actor Ethan Jamieson Accused of Firing Gun at Moving Vehicle

An actor who had a small role in the 2012 film The Hunger Games has been arrested in North Carolina and is facing serious felony charges.

Ethan Jamieson was taken into custody in Raleigh on April 8, 2026, following a police investigation into a shooting that happened on the night of March 22. Authorities say he is charged with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill.

According to Raleigh police, Jamieson is accused of firing a handgun while riding an e-bike. Investigators say the shots were directed at a vehicle carrying three people. No further details about injuries have been publicly confirmed.

Jamieson appeared in court on April 9, where a judge denied him bail. He remains in custody. His next court appearance is scheduled for April 30.

In The Hunger Games, Jamieson played the male tribute from District 4, a character who is killed early in the film during the opening “Cornucopia” scene. He has also had minor roles in television shows including One Tree Hill and Justified, as well as the TV movie The Rusty Bucket Kids.

This is not his first recent legal issue. In March 2025, Jamieson was arrested for resisting a public officer. He was sentenced for that case on March 26, 2026, just days after the shooting incident he is now accused of being involved in.

The case remains under investigation.
