Nicole Kidman Showed Up to Film Despite Flu, Later Hospitalized

Nicole Kidman continued filming her new series despite being seriously ill, according to her co-star Nick Offerman.

Offerman shared the story in a recent interview, describing the first day of shooting for the Apple TV+ series Margo’s Got Money Troubles. The production had organized a large scene set at a wrestling fan convention, complete with hundreds of extras and a complex setup that could only be filmed that day.

Early that morning, the cast and crew were told that Kidman might not be able to attend because she had the flu. Offerman said the news was disappointing, given the scale of the scene and the limited time available to film it.

A few hours later, however, Kidman arrived on set despite being visibly unwell. Offerman recalled that she looked very sick but still completed all of her scenes.

He said she performed everything required for the shoot, ensuring that production did not lose any footage. After filming wrapped, Kidman was taken to the hospital for treatment and received an IV.

Offerman said the experience increased his respect for Kidman, describing her effort as a key reason for her success and professionalism.

Margo’s Got Money Troubles stars Elle Fanning as Margo, a young mother struggling financially after dropping out of college. The series follows her decision to join OnlyFans to support herself, using guidance from her estranged father, a former professional wrestler played by Offerman. Kidman plays Lace, another former wrestler connected to the story.

The show also features Greg Kinnear, Thaddea Graham, Michael Angarano, and Michelle Pfeiffer. New episodes are released weekly on Wednesdays on Apple TV+.
