Pete Davidson Sparks Outrage With “Creepy” Joke About Infant Daughter at Las Vegas Show

Comedian Pete Davidson is facing backlash following a stand-up performance in Las Vegas where he made a joke about his infant daughter that many critics have called inappropriate.

The incident took place on April 11, 2026, during a set at the Fontainebleau. Davidson, who welcomed his daughter, Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson, in December 2025 with girlfriend Elsie Hewitt, spoke about how becoming a father has changed him. During that portion of the set, he made a joke about watching pornography in front of his child, adding that he would “power through.”

The remark quickly drew criticism from audience members and on social media. Some described the joke as “creepy,” “vile,” and unnecessary, arguing that references involving children and explicit material cross a line, even in the context of stand-up comedy.

Others defended Davidson, saying the joke fits within his established style of dark, confessional humor. Supporters argued that he was exaggerating for comedic effect or attempting to comment on how fatherhood has shifted his perspective.

The controversy comes as Davidson has recently spoken publicly about personal growth. Earlier this year, he said becoming a father was the “biggest gift” of his life and discussed efforts to improve his health and stability, including a stint in rehab.

Davidson has not publicly responded to the criticism as of now.
