Speaking on Kansas City sports radio station 96.5 The Fan, Reid joked, “If I don’t outgrow my tuxedo before then, I’m going,” when asked about reports that the couple plans to marry on July 3 in New York City.
Reid, who has coached Kelce for years with the Chiefs, said he is happy for the couple, who became engaged in August 2025 after dating for two years.
“Those guys, I’m so happy for them,” Reid said. “They’re in love, and that’s the most important thing.”
The coach also praised Kelce for his generosity off the field, saying the tight end often helps people without seeking attention.
Reid added that he actually knew Swift before Kelce did because his family were fans of her music and he had met her parents. He described Swift’s father, Scott Swift, as a major football fan.
“She sure handles it the right way,” Reid said of the singer. “That’s the part I appreciate the most.”
Rumors about Swift and Kelce’s wedding have grown in recent months, though a source previously told PEOPLE that the ceremony is expected to be private and limited to close friends and family rather than a large public event.
