Maitland Ward Says Euphoria Crossed the Line With Cassie Scenes

Several adult-content creators are criticizing HBO’s Euphoria over its latest OnlyFans storyline involving Cassie, played by Sydney Sweeney.

In season 3, Cassie starts creating content on OnlyFans to pay for her wedding to Nate, played by Jacob Elordi. After the couple separates, her online content becomes more extreme, including scenes where she dresses as a baby with pigtails and a pacifier.

Former Boy Meets World actress and adult-film performer Maitland Ward said the show crossed a line. In an interview with TMZ, Ward said the “baby” scene would violate OnlyFans rules and called the portrayal “disgusting and vile.”

Ward explained that OnlyFans has strict guidelines against content that suggests minors or underage themes. She said the show’s depiction could attract harmful attention and added that “you don’t want pedophilia anywhere near pornography.”

She also argued that Euphoria unfairly stereotypes OnlyFans creators by portraying them as willing to do shocking acts for money. Ward said many creators work hard to build professional brands online and that the show’s storyline feels disrespectful.

Other creators have voiced similar concerns. Sydney Leathers told Variety that some scenes shown in Euphoria would not actually be allowed on the platform because payment processors enforce strict rules. She described parts of the storyline as “ridiculous and cartoonish.”

Social media influencer Kayla Jade also criticized the series on TikTok, saying it falsely suggests that content creators “have zero boundaries and will do anything for a bit of money.”

HBO has not publicly responded to the criticism.
