Francesca Scorsese Slams Online Trolls Over Cruel Comments About Her Appearance

Francesca Scorsese is speaking out against online trolls after receiving a wave of hateful comments about her appearance following casting news for Season 2 of Prime Video’s “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”

In a TikTok video posted Saturday, the 26-year-old daughter of director Martin Scorsese said reposting the casting announcement led to “some of the worst comments” she has ever received online. While she said she understands criticism tied to being labeled a “nepo baby,” she condemned remarks targeting her looks, including comments calling her “fat,” “ugly,” and comparing her to a “fridge” or “Miss Piggy.”

“I know I have doors opened for me,” Francesca said. “I’m still trying to do the work.”

She added that online harassment can have serious consequences, warning that “your words have power behind them.” Francesca also revealed she previously deleted X due to negativity and now feels TikTok is becoming similarly toxic.

The aspiring actress said living in the shadow of her famous father has long brought scrutiny, but urged users to make social media “a better place.”

Francesca is expected to appear in Season 2 of “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” though details about her role have not yet been disclosed.
