Mel C Says Mel B Was the Most Popular Spice Girl Among Men

Mel C says Mel B was the most popular Spice Girl with men during the group's early years.

In a May 21 appearance on Cosmopolitan's Blind Date series, Mel C (Sporty Spice) was asked which Spice Girl was the "most boy crazy." Laughing, she said Mel B (Scary Spice) had "the best success rate" and was "very popular."

Mel C also said Mel B gave the best dating advice because she is relaxed and does not overthink relationships.

The Spice Girls — Mel B, Mel C, Victoria Beckham, Emma Bunton, and Geri Halliwell — became one of the biggest music groups of the 1990s. They have sold more than 100 million records worldwide and remain the bestselling girl group of all time.

Mel C also spoke about the challenges of dating while being famous. She said it was sometimes difficult to know whether people were interested in her as a person or because she was a member of the Spice Girls.

She admitted that fame made dating harder because public attention can make people feel self-conscious and limits opportunities to meet new people privately.

Mel C is currently in a relationship with Australian model Chris Dingwall. In a previous interview on the Life Uncut podcast, she described him as a "gentle soul" who is supportive and respectful.

Before Dingwall, Mel C was in a relationship with property developer Thomas Starr from 2002 to 2012. They have a 17-year-old daughter, Scarlett. She later dated music producer Joe Marshall from 2015 to 2022.
