Paris Hotel Fire Prompts Evacuation of ‘Ready or Not 2’ Cast During Press Event

Actors from the upcoming horror-comedy sequel Ready or Not 2: Here I Come were safely evacuated from a luxury hotel in Paris after a fire broke out on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

The cast, including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Elijah Wood, and Kathryn Newton, had been attending a press junket at Le Bristol Paris to promote the film’s international release.

According to reports, the fire started in the hotel’s kitchen at around 11:30 a.m. local time. The incident led to a large-scale evacuation, with approximately 400 people, including hotel guests, staff, and media personnel, asked to leave the building while emergency crews responded.

Authorities were able to bring the fire under control quickly. No injuries have been reported, and all cast and crew members are confirmed safe.

The evacuation disrupted the film’s promotional schedule for the day, though no further delays have been announced.

The cast is currently on a global press tour following the film’s U.S. release on March 20, 2026. Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett, the sequel sees Samara Weaving return in the lead role, alongside new additions Gellar and Wood.

Ready or Not 2: Here I Come has already gained attention after its premiere at the SXSW festival earlier this month, with particular interest in Gellar’s return to the horror genre.
