According to reports, the New Orleans Lawn Tennis Club (NOLTC) recently issued a notice to its members warning them to avoid contact with LaBeouf. The actor does not belong to the club but lives nearby in the West Riverside neighborhood.
Club members allege that LaBeouf has been sitting on his porch across the street and shouting at people as they enter or leave the facility. Some described his behavior as unpredictable, saying he can be both friendly and confrontational. In some cases, he reportedly offered money to members to play tennis with him, while in others, he interrupted ongoing tennis sessions and clinics.
To reduce the risk of incidents, the club has said it will close a gate on LaBeouf’s street during certain hours. Members have also been asked to report any serious encounters to management.
The club’s board said it is working with the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD) to address the situation and ensure the safety and comfort of its members.
The reports come after a series of recent legal issues involving the actor. In February 2026, LaBeouf was arrested following an altercation at a bar in the Marigny area during Mardi Gras celebrations. He was charged with multiple counts of simple battery.
Following the incident, a judge ordered him to undergo weekly drug testing and participate in substance abuse treatment. His bond was set at $100,000.
Despite these restrictions, LaBeouf was recently allowed to travel to Rome for a personal family event. However, since returning to New Orleans, there have been additional reports of erratic behavior, including a filmed argument with police outside his home.
Authorities have not announced any new charges related to the tennis club complaints, and the situation remains under review.
