Former “Little Rascals” Star Bug Hall Arrested in Ohio Over Missed Court Date

Brandon “Bug” Hall, best known for his childhood role as Alfalfa in the 1994 film The Little Rascals, was arrested in Ohio on April 13, 2026, according to multiple reports.

Authorities say the arrest was not tied to a new criminal incident but instead stems from a missed court appearance. Hall had been scheduled to appear in court on December 31, 2024, related to a traffic citation issued two months earlier for driving without liability insurance. After failing to show up, a warrant was issued, which ultimately led to his arrest this week.

Records indicate Hall was taken into custody earlier in the week, though it remains unclear whether he has since been released or if bail has been set.

The situation adds another chapter to Hall’s unconventional life in recent years. The former child actor has largely stepped away from Hollywood and has spoken publicly about adopting a radically different lifestyle. He relocated with his wife and five children to a rural farm in Arkansas, where he says the family is focused on self-sufficiency and living with minimal reliance on traditional income. Hall has also described embracing a “vow of poverty,” framing the move as a deliberate rejection of mainstream economic norms.

This is not Hall’s first legal issue since leaving the entertainment industry. In 2020, he was arrested in Texas for misdemeanor possession of a volatile chemical, an incident involving inhaling air duster. At the time, Hall later described the episode as a relapse during a difficult personal period and said he had since worked toward recovery.
