In a message shared on Instagram on April 29, the 43-year-old said she is “unable to travel and perform this week” because of a severe health issue. She did not give details about her condition.
Rimes was scheduled to perform in Spokane, Washington, on April 30 and in Seattle on May 1. Both shows have been rescheduled. The Spokane concert will now take place on May 31, and the Seattle show will be held on June 2.
She told fans she was “truly heartbroken” about the change and thanked them for their support while she recovers.
The update comes about a month after Rimes drew attention online for a video showing her undergoing a jaw treatment. In the clip, she appeared in pain and became emotional during the procedure. Some people questioned whether the reaction was real, but Rimes later said it was genuine.
In recent weeks, she has also shared that she has been dealing with stressful personal matters at home, though she has not provided details.
Rimes said she hopes to return to the stage soon.
