“Emily in Paris” Actor Pierre Deny Dies at 69 After ALS Complications


French actor Pierre Deny, known for playing fashion executive Louis de Léon in Netflix’s “Emily in Paris,” has died at age 69 after complications from ALS.

His daughters confirmed his death in a statement, saying he passed away Monday following a sudden and severe case of the disease.

Deny appeared in seasons 3 and 4 of “Emily in Paris” as the CEO of the luxury company JVMA. He was also widely recognized in France for his role as Renaud on the soap opera “Demain nous appartient.”

Singer and actress Sylvie Vartan paid tribute to Deny on Instagram, calling him a “generous actor” and a “sensitive and funny man,” while offering condolences to his family and loved ones.
