Jennifer Lopez Says She’s Happy Being Single After Ben Affleck Divorce

Jennifer Lopez says she is happy being single after her split from Ben Affleck.

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on May 27, the 56-year-old singer and actress confirmed she is single and joked that she “shoulda done it sooner.” Lopez said she feels “fantastic” and is not interested in joining reality dating shows like The Bachelorette.

She also said she is open to finding love again someday “if they’re good enough.”

Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck in August 2024 after two years of marriage. The couple had reunited in 2021, nearly two decades after ending their first engagement in 2004.

Earlier this year, Lopez said she took time off work after the breakup to focus on herself. She explained that she canceled her 2024 tour and spent time at home reflecting instead of “running away” through work or relationships.

Lopez shares twins Max and Emme with former husband Marc Anthony. Affleck shares three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
