Stewart McLean’s Final Text Revealed as Police Investigate Actor’s Death as Homicide

Actor Stewart McLean, known for roles in Virgin River, Arrow, Supernatural, and The 100, sent a final text to his agent on May 15 confirming he would attend a filming session the next day, according to his friend and acting coach Jeff Seymour.

Seymour told Daily Mail that McLean appeared to have a normal day before driving home to Lions Bay, British Columbia, on the evening of May 15. After the message to his agent, “everything just went dark,” Seymour said.

When McLean failed to appear for filming on May 16, friends became concerned. He was officially reported missing on May 18. Police later upgraded the case to a homicide investigation on May 21, and authorities confirmed on May 22 that McLean’s remains had been found in Lions Bay. He was 45.

Seymour described McLean as honest and kind, saying he could not think of any recent conflicts that would have put the actor in danger. Authorities continue to investigate the case.
