Tom Hardy Accused of Delaying Production on MobLand Set

Tom Hardy may not return for a third season of Paramount+’s crime series MobLand, according to new reports about tensions behind the scenes.

Production on season 2 has already finished, but Puck recently reported that Hardy is expected to leave the show if a third season moves forward. The Hollywood Reporter later published claims from a source alleging that Hardy was frequently late to set, argued over dialogue changes, and sometimes stayed in his trailer for hours, delaying filming.

The source said the behavior frustrated other cast members, including Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren. Earlier this year, the Daily Mail also reported that Mirren had become unhappy with Hardy during production.

MobLand, produced by Guy Ritchie, stars Hardy as fixer Harry Da Souza alongside Brosnan, Mirren, Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Janet McTeer, and Toby Jones.

Despite the reports, many fans have defended Hardy online, arguing that his performance was central to the show’s success.

Paramount+ has not officially confirmed Hardy’s exit. Season 2 does not yet have a release date, and season 3 has not been formally renewed.
