Zendaya Says She Dreamed of Wedding Dresses Since Childhood Amid Tom Holland Marriage Rumors

Zendaya says she has loved wedding dresses since she was a child.

In a new interview with Elle published on May 28, the Emmy-winning actress, 29, spoke about marriage while discussing costumes from her upcoming film The Drama. Zendaya said she dressed as a bride for Halloween “for like two years straight” when she was in kindergarten because she loved wearing fancy gowns.

“I don’t know if I wanted to literally be married, or if I just liked the idea of having an excuse to wear a fancy gown to school,” she said.

The topic came up as Zendaya described the simple white wedding dress her character Emma wears in The Drama, which also stars Robert Pattinson.

Zendaya has been linked to actor Tom Holland since 2017, and PEOPLE confirmed their engagement in January 2025. Marriage rumors grew earlier this year after her stylist Law Roach joked on a red carpet that “the wedding has already happened.” Neither Zendaya nor Holland has confirmed the rumors.

During promotion for The Drama, Zendaya also wore several outfits inspired by the wedding tradition of “something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.”
