Holland explained that Zendaya is not a beer drinker, so he wanted to make a drink she could enjoy. The new Bero Shandy line mixes non-alcoholic beer with lemonade and fruit flavors.
The collection includes four flavors:
• Daybreak Shandy (lemon-lime)
• Golden Hour Shandy (pink grapefruit)
• Sunset Shandy (elderflower and lemon)
• Midnight Shandy (blackberry and yuzu)
According to Bero, the drinks are inspired by the British tradition of shandies, which combine beer and lemonade.
Holland told Forbes that the idea for the shandies came from his mother, while Zendaya inspired him to develop the products. He joked that he is not allowed to drink the grapefruit flavor at home because it is Zendaya’s favorite.
Holland stopped drinking alcohol in 2022 and launched Bero in 2024. He has said he created the brand to offer a premium non-alcoholic option and help people feel included in social settings.
The new shandies became available for presale on June 1 for Club Bero members. They will launch online on June 8, arrive at Target stores on June 14, and expand to other retailers on July 1.
