Sam Levinson Says Sydney Sweeney Insisted on Keeping Cassie’s Nudity in ‘Euphoria’ Season 3

“Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson revealed that he initially considered filming Season 3 with little or no nudity for Sydney Sweeney’s character, Cassie. However, Sweeney objected, pointing out that Cassie is an OnlyFans model and that avoiding nudity would not fit the character.

Speaking to The New York Times, Levinson said Sweeney convinced him that the role required authenticity. He also addressed criticism about nudity in earlier seasons, explaining that actors are informed about such requirements before accepting roles and can later choose not to participate in specific scenes.

Levinson stressed that actors should always feel safe and comfortable on set, saying strong performances depend on trust and a supportive environment. He praised Sweeney as a fearless and professional actress and said their working relationship is built on mutual trust.

Season 3 will explore Cassie’s involvement in the world of OnlyFans, which Levinson described as both dramatic and absurd, while remaining true to the character’s story.
