Ben Affleck Transfers Beverly Hills Mansion Stake to Jennifer Lopez

Ben Affleck has transferred his full ownership stake in the Beverly Hills mansion he once shared with Jennifer Lopez, according to legal documents reported on April 10, 2026. The transfer appears to have been made without any payment, effectively giving Lopez sole ownership of the property.

The documents describe the move as a “transfer of property among spouses,” a legal mechanism often used in divorce-related settlements. While the paperwork itself does not specify a price, multiple sources familiar with the matter say Affleck did not receive compensation for his share. Given the scale of the asset, that decision likely represents tens of millions of dollars in relinquished equity.

The property in question is a roughly 38,000-square-foot estate in Beverly Hills’ Wallingford Estates enclave. The couple purchased it in May 2023 for about $60.85 million in cash and reportedly invested several million more in upgrades. The home includes 12 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, an indoor sports complex, and a basketball court.

The mansion has been on the market since July 2024. It was initially listed at $68 million but has since been reduced to $52 million after failing to attract a buyer. With Affleck no longer attached to the property, Lopez now has full authority over whether to sell it or keep it.

Several factors may explain the timing of the transfer. Affleck recently secured significant liquidity through the reported $600 million sale of his AI venture, InterPositive, to Netflix. He has also already relocated to a $20 million home in Pacific Palisades, where he is closer to his children. Those changes may have reduced both his financial and personal incentive to retain any stake in the Beverly Hills property.

Neither Affleck nor Lopez has publicly commented on the transfer. However, the move is widely seen as a clear step toward finalizing the division of assets following their 2024 divorce filing.
