From Adult Films to HBO: Chloe Cherry Opens Up Ahead of Euphoria Return

Chloe Cherry is stepping back into the spotlight as Euphoria returns for its long-awaited third season, premiering Sunday, April 12, 2026. As anticipation builds, Cherry—who plays the unpredictable but memorable Faye—has been sharing new details about the upcoming season and reflecting on her unconventional path to Hollywood.

Production on Season 3 wrapped in late 2025, and according to Cherry, viewers should expect a noticeable shift in both tone and structure. One of the biggest changes is a time jump that moves the story several years ahead of Season 2. Faye, once caught in chaotic and dangerous circumstances, is now attempting what Cherry describes as a more “lowkey lifestyle as a housewife.” Despite this apparent stability, the calm may not last.

Cherry has characterized the new season as “secretive and unwarranted,” hinting at unexpected developments and storylines that push the series into new territory. While details remain tightly guarded, she suggested that the narrative will feel more open-ended and surprising, with plotlines that unfold in unusual ways.

Faye’s connection to Rue, played by Zendaya, will continue despite the time gap. Cherry indicated that both characters are still struggling to find their footing and will share moments of growth as they try to navigate their lives. At the same time, the show’s trademark intensity remains intact. Faye is expected to encounter increasingly dangerous situations, reinforcing the high-stakes drama that has defined the series.

Outside of her role on Euphoria, Cherry has also been candid about her personal and professional journey. Before entering mainstream acting, she worked in the adult film industry, a decision she has described as partly driven by a strict and religious upbringing in rural Pennsylvania. While she has successfully transitioned into Hollywood, she cautions others against viewing that industry as a stepping stone, noting that its stigma can be difficult to overcome.

Cherry has credited her previous work with instilling a strong work ethic and resilience, particularly when it comes to handling long and demanding production schedules. In a twist of fate, it was her appearance in a parody of Euphoria that first caught the attention of creator Sam Levinson, ultimately leading to her casting as Faye.

Season 3 of Euphoria will be available on HBO and Max starting April 12, marking the show’s return after a multi-year hiatus.
