In comments reported by the Herald Sun, the manager described the evening as busy and chaotic but said he was not aware of any incident matching Rose’s claim. He recalled that Perry and Rose arrived together with a small group that included a hair and makeup artist and a mutual friend. According to him, they spent much of the night in a private VIP area known as the “Genie Bottle,” where they were drinking and largely keeping to themselves.
The manager also noted that the club was crowded, with around 600 people present, and said Perry at times was dancing in the main area among guests. He stated there were no reports or records of inappropriate behavior brought to his attention that night.
The comments come as Victoria Police confirmed on April 15, 2026, that they are investigating a “historical sexual assault” alleged to have taken place in 2010 at a venue in Melbourne’s central business district. Authorities did not name any individuals, but the timing and location are consistent with Rose’s public allegations.
Ruby Rose recently said on social media that she has completed formal reports to police and will not comment further while the investigation is ongoing.
Katy Perry, through her legal representatives, has denied the accusation. Her lawyers described the claim as “categorically false” and called it a “reckless” allegation. They also questioned Rose’s credibility, referencing past public statements she has made about other figures.
Rose alleges that during the night in question, Perry touched her in a sexual and non-consensual way while she was trying to avoid interaction. She said she initially downplayed the experience, describing it publicly as a humorous story, but later reconsidered it as something more serious.
The police investigation is ongoing.
