Natasha Lyonne Returns to Red Carpet Days After Delta Flight Incident

Actor Natasha Lyonne returned to public view this week with a red carpet appearance in New York City, just days after being removed from a Delta flight following an onboard incident.

On Thursday, April 9, Lyonne attended the New York premiere of the documentary Lorne at Alice Tully Hall. She appeared composed and camera-ready, posing for photos alongside friend Hamer Morgenstern. The appearance marked a quick return to normal professional activity less than 48 hours after the airline episode.

The incident occurred on the night of Tuesday, April 7, when Lyonne boarded a red-eye flight from Los Angeles to New York after attending the Euphoria Season 3 premiere. According to reports from outlets including Page Six and TMZ, Lyonne was seated in first class and allegedly did not follow crew instructions to stow her laptop and fasten her seatbelt as the plane prepared for takeoff.

The aircraft had already begun taxiing when the situation escalated. The pilot reportedly announced that a passenger would need to be removed because they were not complying with safety requirements. The plane returned to the gate, delaying the flight by more than an hour.

Witnesses described Lyonne as appearing disoriented, with one account claiming she asked, “Where are we?” during the incident. She ultimately left the plane without further confrontation.

As a result of the delay and her removal from the flight, Lyonne missed a scheduled appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show the following day.

Lyonne addressed the situation briefly on social media on Thursday, writing, “My heart is with all the unpaid TSA agents at our airports. Sure was looking forward to speaking honestly with @DrewBarrymore yesterday but guess wasn't in the cards.” She also made a separate remark questioning the ownership of Page Six, which first reported the story.

The incident has drawn additional attention due to Lyonne’s past struggles with addiction. In January 2026, she disclosed that she had relapsed after a decade of sobriety. In March, she shared that she was recovering and “back on her feet.”

No official statement has been released by Lyonne’s representatives or Delta Air Lines regarding the specifics of the incident.
