Bobbi Althoff Says Online Hate Has Taken Toll on Her Mental Health

Bobbi Althoff has issued an emotional public statement addressing ongoing online criticism related to her divorce and personal life, describing the impact it has had on her mental health.

In a recent social media post, the podcast host spoke directly to critics who have scrutinized her since her split from husband Cory Althoff. The couple’s divorce was finalized in August 2024.

“I hate myself more than you could ever hate me,” Althoff wrote. “You guys think you’re telling me something I don’t already know? I promise you, I am my own biggest critic.”

Her comments reflect mounting frustration with persistent negative commentary, including speculation about her rapid rise in popularity and accusations about her personal relationships.

Althoff addressed several recurring narratives. She pushed back on claims that her career—particularly her viral interviews, including one with rapper Drake—contributed to the end of her marriage. She has consistently maintained that the divorce was amicable and unrelated to her professional success.

She also spoke out against what she described as “slut-shaming” online. Althoff said she has been labeled negatively for dating after her divorce, while noting that her ex-husband is also in a new relationship but does not face the same criticism.

Another concern she raised was the long-term effect of online hostility on her family. Althoff said she is troubled by the possibility that her two daughters, Luca and Isla, may eventually see the negative comments about her.

In addition, she addressed ongoing claims that she is an “industry plant,” a term used online to suggest a creator’s success is manufactured rather than organic. Althoff indicated that such accusations have contributed to feelings of isolation within the content creator community.

Cory Althoff filed for divorce in February 2024, citing irreconcilable differences and listing the couple’s separation date as July 4, 2023. Since then, both have emphasized a focus on co-parenting and have publicly stated they are happier apart.
