Fleur Shomo Speaks Out After Beartooth Singer Caleb Shomo Comes Out as Gay

Fleur Shomo has spoken publicly after her husband, Beartooth singer Caleb Shomo, revealed that he is gay.

In an Instagram post shared Saturday, Fleur described the past few months as “disorientating and hurtful” but said she still wants to “love, protect and support” Caleb. She reflected on their 14-year marriage, calling it “wonderful and full of so much fun, adventure & love.”

Fleur said supporting Caleb while also dealing with the end of their relationship has been emotionally difficult. “You can love and support your person through the hardest time in their life, whilst also be completely demolished & lose yourself at the same time,” she wrote.

Caleb Shomo also posted a statement Saturday, saying he is a “proudly gay man.” He explained that he has been coming to terms with his sexuality for some time and wanted to address public speculation before it affected loved ones further.

Fleur ended her message by saying, “Our story was a good one. And now it’s done.” Her post included a video of the couple dancing together at home.

Speculation about Caleb’s sexuality increased earlier this year following the release of Beartooth’s single “Free” and a social media comment by Attila singer Chris Fronzak, who later apologized for the remark.
