Joy Behar Takes Break From The View for Europe Stage Tour

Joy Behar will take an extended break from The View while she travels to Europe to perform her stage play, My First Ex-Husband.

Behar, 83, announced the hiatus on the show’s Behind the Table podcast with producer Brian Teta. She said she will spend one week in Paris before heading to London, where the play will run at the Boulevard Theatre in the West End. Actress Jackie Hoffman will join her, along with two British actresses.

During Behar’s absence, several guest hosts will fill in. Sheryl Underwood will appear for two episodes, while journalist Kara Swisher and cohost Ana Navarro will also join the panel. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg is expected to appear on Fridays as well, despite usually taking that day off.

Behar said she will remain on The View through Thursday before leaving for Europe.
