Sharon Osbourne criticized for supporting AI song linked to far-right politics

Sharon Osbourne has come under criticism after showing support for an AI-generated song linked to far-right politics.

She commented “Love love this song” on Instagram under a video for This Is England, a track created by artificial intelligence and performed by a fictional rapper called Danny Bones. The character is part of the “Node Project,” a group that has used AI content to promote political messages online.

Investigations earlier this year linked the Node Project to Advance UK, a far-right political party formed after a split from Reform UK. The Danny Bones videos have gained millions of views across social media.

The video Osbourne reacted to shows the AI rapper walking through a British high street with flags from different countries in the background. The lyrics and imagery focus on themes like immigration, nationalism, and social decline. Other videos from the same project include scenes of unrest and even fictional civil war scenarios.

Osbourne has also recently shown support for far-right figures. In April, she commented “see you at the march” on a post promoting a rally organized by Tommy Robinson, a controversial far-right activist. The event has previously attracted large crowds and included nationalist symbols and slogans.

After that comment, the homelessness charity Centrepoint ended its association with Osbourne, saying the event did not match its values.

Her recent actions are part of a pattern of controversial statements. In the past, she left a U.S. talk show after a dispute about racism, and she has taken strong public positions on international issues, including support for Israel and criticism of pro-Palestinian voices.

The Instagram comments supporting both the AI song and the rally are still visible.
