Stanley Tucci Says Wife Felicity Blunt Changed His Life

Stanley Tucci is opening up about his marriage to wife Felicity Blunt and how she changed his life.

During an interview on Jenna Bush Hager’s podcast Open Book, the 65-year-old actor said he never expected to get married again after the death of his first wife, Kathryn Spath, who died from cancer in 2009.

“I wasn’t sure that I would ever remarry,” Tucci said. He also said he did not think he would have more children.

Tucci met Felicity Blunt, a literary agent and the sister of actress Emily Blunt, years earlier at the 2006 premiere of The Devil Wears Prada. The two reconnected in 2010 at Emily Blunt’s wedding to actor John Krasinski in Lake Como, Italy. They started dating soon after and married in 2012.

The couple now share two children, a son born in 2015 and a daughter born in 2018. Felicity is also stepmother to Tucci’s three children from his first marriage.

Tucci said their relationship worked naturally despite their 21-year age difference.

“We had a lot in common,” he said. He added that Felicity brought stability and happiness to both him and his children.

He also praised her personality and intelligence, describing her as positive, thoughtful, and fun to be around.

Felicity has also played a role in Tucci’s career outside acting. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she encouraged him to post a video online showing how to make a negroni cocktail. The video became very popular and helped launch Tucci’s image as a food and lifestyle personality.

Tucci later said the video was originally meant only for coworkers at the literary agency where Felicity works. After she suggested posting it on Instagram, it quickly gained worldwide attention.
