Maslany, who starred as Jennifer Walters in 2022’s She-Hulk: Attorney at Law on Disney+, addressed speculation about her future with Marvel after she publicly supported a boycott of Disney-owned platforms in 2025 following ABC’s temporary suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live!.
Speaking to Radio Times while promoting Maximum Pleasure Guaranteed, Maslany said she still has strong affection for the character and the series.
“The character is outside of what I feel like the corporation is doing,” she said. “I love She Hulk, and I loved what Jessica Gao did with her. I feel like it was very loyal to the comics.”
She added that she would be open to returning if the opportunity arose, although she has not been contacted about any future appearances.
“If there was a space where it made sense for her to come back... I mean, I don't know anything, and I do think that the internet will know before I do,” Maslany said.
Questions about She-Hulk’s future have persisted since the show’s debut, particularly after Maslany encouraged followers to cancel Disney+, Hulu and ESPN during the 2025 boycott campaign. The actor’s comments led some fans to speculate that Marvel had quietly ended plans for the character.
However, Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum recently described She-Hulk: Attorney at Law as “one of our best-performing shows” on Disney+, despite mixed fan reactions and online review-bombing campaigns.
A second season has not been announced, and Maslany is not currently listed among the confirmed casts for Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars.
