Doja Cat Asks Elon Musk to Bring Back X Audio Posts, While Insulting Him Online

Singer and rapper Doja Cat took to X on Wednesday to ask Elon Musk to restore the platform’s audio post feature, but she did not make the request politely.

In a post on X, Doja Cat wrote: “Hey Elon if u see this please put the audio post feature back on here.” She then followed the request with several insults directed at Musk.

The artist appeared to be referring to X’s voice note or audio post feature, which many users believe was removed in early 2025. While public audio posts are no longer available, users can still send voice messages through direct messages (DMs).

Musk purchased Twitter, now known as X, in October 2022 and made major changes to the platform after taking control. During his first year as owner, the company reportedly saw a decline in both users and advertising revenue.

More recently, Musk agreed to pay a $1.5 million civil penalty to settle a lawsuit from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The lawsuit claimed he failed to properly disclose stock purchases leading up to his acquisition of Twitter.

Doja Cat’s comments are not the first time a major music star has publicly criticized Musk. In November 2025, singer Billie Eilish also made headlines after strongly criticizing the billionaire over his wealth and charitable giving.

It remains unclear whether Musk has seen or will respond to Doja Cat’s request to bring back audio posts on X.
