Gigi Hadid Makes Surprise Cameo in Mindy Kaling’s Not Suitable for Work

Gigi Hadid made a surprise cameo in episode 3 of Mindy Kaling’s new Hulu comedy series, Not Suitable for Work. The supermodel plays Catherine, the glamorous and outspoken girlfriend of Bill, played by Jay Ellis.

In the scene, Catherine storms into Bill’s office wearing pajamas and a fur coat, upset that he left for work on their anniversary without saying goodbye. She confronts him in front of his coworkers before dramatically throwing a pan of chilaquiles at him and threatening to sell the Birkin bag he gave her.

Kaling said she knew Hadid was funny after working with her on Never Have I Ever and was thrilled when she agreed to appear on the show. She also hinted that Hadid’s character could return in a future season.

Co-stars Ella Hunt and Will Angus revealed they were not told about Hadid’s appearance beforehand and were surprised when she arrived on set.

Not Suitable for Work follows a group of ambitious young professionals navigating careers and personal lives in New York City. The first three episodes are now streaming on Hulu, with new episodes released weekly through June 23.
