Lauv Exits Khalid Tour Early to Focus on Mental Health

Singer Lauv has announced that he is leaving Khalid’s It’s Always Summer Somewhere Tour early to focus on his mental health.

In an Instagram post on June 2, the 31-year-old artist, whose real name is Ari Staprans Leff, said he has been struggling and needs time away to take care of himself. He apologized to fans, Khalid, and others affected by his decision.

Lauv said mental health challenges have long been part of his life and music. He added that he hopes being open about his struggles encourages others to address their own feelings and seek help when needed.

The singer, who has previously spoken about living with OCD and substance use issues, said he plans to focus on getting healthy and returning to music when he is ready.

Khalid publicly supported Lauv’s decision, praising his efforts on tour and wishing him “love, light, and clarity” during this difficult time. He also thanked Lauv for the impact his music has had on fans.

Lauv completed 10 shows on the tour before stepping away. The two artists recently collaborated on the song “Tied Up,” released in May.
