Speaking on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, the 42-year-old actress said she underwent one round of IVF after having her first two sons, Gus and Ozzie, naturally. She hoped to have an embryo frozen so she could have more flexibility in planning a third child.
However, the IVF cycle was unsuccessful, and no viable embryos were created. Moore said she accepted the outcome and decided that if another child was meant to happen, it would happen naturally.
To her surprise, she later became pregnant with her third child, daughter Louise “Lou” Goldsmith, who was born in 2024. Moore joked that Lou “just had to show up,” explaining that she and husband Taylor Goldsmith were not actively trying for another baby but were open to the possibility.
Moore also reflected on having three children in just three and a half years. While she said she is still “emotionally recovering” from the experience, she described her pregnancies as relatively easy and said she did not experience postpartum issues.
The actress previously revealed that doctors had once told her she had only a slim chance of becoming pregnant before she welcomed her first son. Despite earlier fertility concerns, Moore said she feels grateful for her journey into motherhood and for her three children.
