Security Guard Linked to Sabrina Carpenter Admits Role in Viral Brazil Clash

New details released on March 26, 2026, have clarified a viral incident that took place during the Lollapalooza Brazil weekend in São Paulo. The security guard involved was not part of Chappell Roan’s team, but was instead working for Sabrina Carpenter.

The situation first drew attention after reports claimed a bodyguard had aggressively confronted an 11-year-old girl at a hotel, leading to backlash against Roan. The child was later identified as Ada Law, the daughter of actor Jude Law and footballer Jorginho.

The bodyguard, Pascal Duvier—known for previously working with Kim Kardashian—has now spoken publicly about the incident. In a statement shared on Instagram, he took full responsibility and confirmed he was not employed by Roan. He explained that he was in Brazil as part of another artist’s security team.

Multiple outlets, including Daily Mail and TMZ, reported that Duvier was working with Sabrina Carpenter at the time. Both Carpenter and Roan were staying at the same hotel during the festival.

According to reports, Ada Law and her mother, Catherine Harding, were having breakfast when Ada recognized Roan and smiled as she walked by. Duvier then approached their table and accused them of harassing the singer. The interaction reportedly left the child upset and in tears.

Before these details emerged, Roan had already denied any involvement. In a video posted online, she said she had no knowledge of the situation and insisted the guard was not part of her team. She also addressed rumors directly, saying, “I do not hate children.”

Despite her denial, the incident led to widespread criticism online. The Mayor of Rio de Janeiro even stated that Roan would be banned from certain future city events. However, following the new information, many fans are now calling for that decision to be reconsidered.

In his statement, Duvier described the confrontation as a “judgment call,” saying he acted based on what he believed was a heightened security risk at the hotel. While defending his intentions, he admitted that the outcome was “regretful.”

As of now, Sabrina Carpenter and her team have not released an official response regarding the incident.

The situation has shifted public opinion, with attention now focused on the bodyguard’s actions rather than Roan.
