Labrinth Exits Euphoria Season 3, Pulls All Music Ahead of Premiere

Labrinth has confirmed that he has withdrawn all of his music from the upcoming third season of Euphoria, citing concerns about professionalism and honesty in the industry.

The announcement came just ahead of the season’s premiere on April 12, 2026. In a series of Instagram Stories, the Emmy-winning composer explained that his decision followed ongoing issues behind the scenes. While he did not name specific individuals, he made clear that he felt disrespected in the working environment.

“People will comfortably lie in this industry and still call themselves honest people,” Labrinth wrote. “I don’t let people treat me like s—t.”

He emphasized that the move was voluntary, stating that he chose to remove any music he had already created for the new season. Despite the conflict, Labrinth noted that his relationship with HBO remains intact, saying that things are “cool” with the network.

The development follows an earlier, more blunt statement posted in March 2026 and later deleted, in which he wrote, “I’m done with this industry. F—k Columbia. Double f—k Euphoria. I’m out.”

With Labrinth’s departure, composer Hans Zimmer will now handle the score for Season 3 on his own. Zimmer had originally been expected to collaborate with Labrinth, but will now take full control of the show’s music.

Series creator Sam Levinson has indicated that the change in composers aligns with a broader creative shift. The new season features a five-year time jump, moving the characters beyond high school. According to Levinson, the show is moving away from the “pop roots” that defined earlier seasons toward a more cinematic, orchestral sound to reflect the characters’ transition into adulthood.

Season 3 is also expected to feature cast changes, with several actors reportedly not returning for what has been described as the show’s final chapter. The premiere is scheduled for April 12, with a special screening planned at Coachella.
