Tori Spelling Speaks Out After Serious Car Crash Involving Seven Children

Actress Tori Spelling has spoken publicly for the first time about a serious car accident that left her and seven children hospitalized earlier this month.

The crash occurred on April 2, 2026, around 5:44 p.m. on Rancho California Road in Temecula, California. Spelling was driving an SUV carrying four of her children and three of their friends when another vehicle collided with them.

In a video posted to Instagram on April 7, Spelling described the incident as “frightening” and said the other driver was allegedly speeding and ran a red light. She said she saw the car approaching at high speed and made a split-second decision to turn sharply to the left in an attempt to protect the children from a direct impact.

According to Spelling, the maneuver caused the vehicles to spin, but she believes it reduced the severity of the crash. “It was full on, full impact,” she said, adding that the situation could have been much worse.

All eight people in the SUV were taken to the hospital in three ambulances. They were treated for injuries including cuts, bruises, contusions, and concussions. Everyone has since been released and is recovering.

Spelling said her family has already been able to spend time together following the accident, including celebrating Easter just days later. She expressed gratitude for their survival, saying she felt “guardian angels” were watching over them.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that two vehicles were heavily damaged in the crash. Authorities have not made any arrests, and the investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
