The model arrived on the red carpet in a look inspired by classical marble sculptures. Instead of wearing a typical designer gown, Klum appeared almost like a living statue, similar to the detailed works of artists such as Rafaelle Monti and Giuseppe Sammartino.
To create the look, Klum chose not to work with a traditional fashion designer. Instead, she teamed up with makeup artist Mike Marino, a long-time collaborator known for helping her create dramatic Halloween costumes. Marino runs Prosthetic Renaissance, a company that specializes in special effects makeup and has worked on films like “Coming 2 America,” “The Batman,” and “A Different Man.”
According to reports, the look relied heavily on prosthetics and detailed makeup to achieve the marble-like effect, turning Klum into what appeared to be a sculpture brought to life.
Klum is often called the “Queen of Halloween” for her bold costume choices, and her Met Gala appearance followed that same creative approach—standing out by treating fashion as a form of art in the most literal way.
