How I Met Your Mother Actor Nick Pasqual Sentenced to 32 Years to Life for Attempted Murder of Ex-Girlfriend

Actor Nick Pasqual, who once appeared on How I Met Your Mother, has been sentenced to 32 years to life in prison for the attempted murder of his ex-girlfriend, Hollywood makeup artist Allie Shehorn.

A Los Angeles court handed down the sentence on June 2. Pasqual had already been convicted of attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary, and domestic violence-related charges.

Prosecutors said Pasqual broke into Shehorn’s Los Angeles home in May 2024 and stabbed her more than 20 times. She was found severely injured and survived the attack.

Before the stabbing, Shehorn had obtained a restraining order against Pasqual, accusing him of domestic violence. During the trial, she testified about a previous violent incident that led to their breakup.

Pasqual had been released on bail just five days before the attack.

Shehorn is a makeup artist known for her work on films including Mean Girls, Rebel Moon, and Babylon. Pasqual’s acting credits include a guest appearance on How I Met Your Mother.
