Baird, known for roles in films and television, made headlines in 2017 when she publicly came out as a lesbian. At the time, she said she wanted to live more honestly and no longer hide who she was. This shift marked a turning point in both her personal and professional life.
Following that period, Baird began prioritizing her role as a mother to her son, whom she shares with ex-husband Jonathan Togo. She also explored creative projects outside of traditional acting, including plans to develop her own show and work on a coffee table book.
Although she stepped back from mainstream Hollywood, Baird did not leave acting completely. She continued to take on select roles, including a part in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (2019). She also appeared in the series Cobra Kai between 2018 and 2019.
More recently, Baird has worked on independent films. Her credits include the movie Night Train (2023), the Lifetime thriller You’re Not Supposed to Be Here (2023), and the indie project Witchy Ways.
While she is less visible in major studio productions, Baird remains active in the industry on her own terms, balancing creative work with her personal life.
